Frequently asked questions

Will I receive a salary even if I don't have an assignment yet?

Yes, you will receive a salary from the start, even if you don’t have an assignment yet. As a new consultant, you will begin with an onboarding process and training tailored to your needs. While getting acquainted with our organisation and searching for your first assignment, you will continue to be paid.

If you are between assignments, you will work on internal projects and further develop yourself through additional training. During these periods, your salary will continue uninterrupted.

How long does an assignment typically last?

An assignment typically lasts between 6 to 9 months.

What types of assignments can I undertake as a consultant?

As a consultant, you will engage in a variety of assignments within the Finance and Risk domain. For instance, you may conduct risk assessments, develop financial models, or lead software development projects. You will focus on improving financial data, reporting processes, and implementing new regulations.

In project management roles, you will lead major initiatives for pension funds and process optimisations at leading banks, progressing from an analytical role to a leadership position.

Which companies can I work for as a consultant?

As a consultant, you can work with a variety of companies within the Finance and Risk domain. This includes opportunities at Volksbank, ING, ABN AMRO, various pension funds, and other major banks.

What makes your programme unique?

Our programme is centred on personal attention. Our experienced consultants will guide you through your assignments, and your performance manager will provide personal support to ensure you are successful and confident in your client work.

Our team fosters a relaxed and informal atmosphere where you have the space to develop in your own way. We offer a customised Learning and Development programme with high-quality training and courses.

During the programme, you will have the unique opportunity to undertake assignments at nearly all major organisations in the financial sector. This allows you to make an impact early in your career and build a valuable network.

Can I choose my own assignments?

We always work together to find a suitable assignment for you, based on your education and work experience. For available assignments with clients, we will discuss together whether the content and environment are a good fit for you. Sometimes, you can also join an ongoing (group) assignment with your colleagues in our consultancy team, as long as the assignment aligns well with your interests.

Am I committed to your programme for three years?

Our three-year consultancy programme is designed to provide you with a strong foundation on your way to becoming a fully-fledged consultant. However, this does not mean you are required to complete the full term. If you find that it is not a good fit for you, we will discuss possible solutions, or you may choose to leave the programme.

What can I expect from my first assignment?

We understand that you are eager to tackle complex ‘change’ assignments with significant impact, but it is crucial to first understand how a bank operates. Therefore, we advise you to become familiar with the different departments and products.

Often, new consultants start in an operational role within the financial sector to build a strong foundation. If you aspire a different role, we will work together to find your next step and ensure your work remains challenging!

Do you also work on group assignments?

It is common for multiple consultants to work within the same client environment or team. We strive to find a role that aligns well with your profile.

How is your consultancy programme structured?

Our three-year consultancy programme is built on three pillars: personal leadership, advisory skills, and in-depth sector knowledge. Throughout this period, you will receive guidance from both a performance manager and an experienced senior consultant, aimed at fostering both your professional and personal growth.

The work of our consultants includes solving complex financial (data) issues, improving reports, and proposing improvements. You will delve into topics such as new legislation, process improvement, and data quality.

Our programme is designed to enhance your expertise in the field and advisory skills while supporting you with coaching during your practical assignments. This approach promotes rapid professional development and ensures continuous challenges.
