Junior Data Analist
Are you curious about data and eager to learn how insights help organisations make better decisions? As a junior data analyst, you work with business data and translate numbers into clear analyses and dashboards. You operate within Agile teams and contribute to data-driven improvements at large organisations in the financial sector, energy or telecom.
This is what you will do
As a junior data analyst, you work within data and analytics teams in a professional, Agile environment. This is an example role. The exact responsibilities vary per organisation and assignment, but always focus on learning, analysing and delivering reliable insights.
Depending on your assignment, you will:
- collect, clean and analyse data from multiple sources
- build and maintain dashboards and reports, often using Power BI
- perform ad hoc analyses and explain trends and deviations
- support defining KPIs and data standards
- work with stakeholders to clarify analytical questions and priorities
- document insights and present outcomes during sprint reviews
- identify data quality issues and align with data engineers

What we ask
- a completed or nearly completed master’s degree in Econometrics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Economics or a similar field
- 0 to 2 years of experience in data analysis through internships, thesis work or a first role
- the ability to clearly explain what data means and how it can be used
- experience with Excel, SQL and Power BI, and preferably some exposure to Python
- basic knowledge of statistics and an interest in data quality and definitions
- you live in the Netherlands and are available full time
Benefits
As a junior data analyst, you start via Solid Professionals in a contract-to-hire setup. This means that during the first period you are employed by Solid Professionals and immediately start working at one client organisation within the financial sector, energy or telecom. The intention is that after completing the Impact Programme, you transition into a permanent position with the client. From day one, you are a full member of the team and actively involved in the business.
You can expect:
- a gross monthly salary starting from 3800 euros based on 36 hours, including holiday allowance and a monthly project allowance, depending on the client and aligned with the employment benefits you would receive when directly employed by the client
- at least 22.5 vacation days based on 36 hours
- hybrid working and travel allowance for office days
- guidance from a performance manager who supports you throughout the programme and focuses on your development
